Jason Schreder

Jason Schreder joined the Girls’ Basketball Staff in the fall of 2008.  Assisting with all levels of the program his love for the game is evident every day he walks on the court.

Schreder received a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a minor in Secondary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in May of 2008.  While at the U of I, Schreder had the opportunity to be a student-manager for the Men’s Basketball program under head coach Bruce Weber.  During his four years the Illini compiled a record of 102-40 going to the NCAA Tournament his first three years with a Final Four and Championship Game appearance in 2005, Big Ten Regular and Tournament Championship was well.  Schreder was responsible for practice preparation, statistics, team housekeeping, office work, and helping with player skill development.  While being a manager he had the opportunity to work together with current professional basketball players (NBA and overseas): Deron Williams, Luther Head, Dee Brown, James Augustine, Roger Powell, Warren Carter, and Brian Randle.

Schreder is a native of Hecker, Illinois graduating high school from Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo, IL.  His only season at Gibault the basketball team reached the Regional Championship game. Before moving to Hecker, Schreder attended Princeton High School, where in 2003 the Tigers won a Regional, Sectional Championship, and played in the Super-Sectional at Northern Illinois.

Schreder will be teaching Freshmen Theoology as well as continuing his position of head JV baseball coach.  Schreder was recently married to his wife Morgan (7/09).
