Varsity Girls Basketball - January 19

St. Thomas More 59 - Sangamon Valley Conf. Tourn. - Clifton Central 32

The girls defeated Clifton Central in the opening round of the SVC tournament 59-32. Maggie Fitzgerald had 17 points and 13 rebounds. Brittany Einck had 13 points including three 3 pointers. Gina Hinders chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds, and Miranda Becker had 8 steals for the Sabers. Sierra Myerscough had 6 points and 6 rebounds coming off the bench as well. The girls forced Clifton Central in to 30 tunovers on the night. The girls will face PBL on Thursday in the semi finals at Clifton Central - Good Luck Ladies.
