The Sabers opened the season with a victory over Mahomet-Seymour 57-34 Thursday (11/17) night. The Sabers opened up a 12-0 first quarter lead and opened up a 9 point halftime lead in the 3rd quarter with some stifling defense and crisp passing on offense. The Sabers were led by Jade Brinkoetter’s 17 points, Randa Harshbarger’s 14 points and the Wallen Sisters with 10 points each.
