St. Thomas More 85 - IHSA - Regional Semi-Finals: Oakwood 24
St. Thomas More opened up state tournament play tonight cruising to victory against Oakwood 85-24. Tori McCoy had 24 points & 7 rebounds in ½ of work going 11-15 from the field. Liz Bristow had 19 points, Lexi Wallen added 11 points, and sophomore Leah Allison collected her first double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Sabers first unit broke a program record coming out ahead 39-0 in the 1st quarter as the Sabers only committed 6 turnovers the entire game. Oakwood scoring was led by Lexi Terry and Sadie Edwards each with 5 points. St. Thomas More (27-2) will face the St. Joseph-Ogden on Thursday at 7pm at Bismarck-Henning High School. The Sabers go into the game with a 17 game win streak – a new program record. The Sabers are playing for their 6th Regional title in 8 years.
